Trézór Bridge® (en-US) — Crypto in Trézór™ Suite™

Trézór Bridge® — Crypto in Trézór™ Suite™ (en‑US)

Use Trézór Bridge® inside Trézór™ Suite™ to securely perform token swaps, bridge assets between supported blockchains, and interact with vetted decentralized services while keeping your private keys safely on your device.

Overview

Trézór Bridge® provides a curated set of third‑party integrations and on‑chain routing services that let you move assets, swap tokens, and access DeFi features without exposing private keys. The signing of transactions always happens on your Trezor hardware device; Suite coordinates communication with partner providers and blockchains on your behalf.

Reminder: Trézór Bridge® is non‑custodial — Trezor does not hold your funds. Always verify addresses and contract actions on the physical device screen.

Supported networks & integrations

Availability and supported providers change over time. Typical networks and services include:

  • Ethereum and EVM‑compatible networks (Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum).
  • Bitcoin on‑chain swaps and routed liquidity providers.
  • Selected non‑EVM networks via verified integrations (region dependent).
  • DEX aggregators, cross‑chain bridges, and liquidity routers approved by Trézór.

For the latest list of partners and supported chains, open Trézór™ Suite™ and check the Bridge or Integrations page.

Setup & initial steps

  1. Update Trézór™ Suite™: Install the latest Suite release to ensure you have current provider lists and security fixes.
  2. Connect your Trezor device: Plug in and unlock with your PIN. Suite should detect your device automatically.
  3. Enable Bridge features: In Suite settings, enable Bridge or Integrations if they are not already visible. Some integrations require accepting third‑party terms.
  4. Review permissions: When connecting to a provider or DApp, read and confirm the permissions requested by the provider inside Suite before proceeding.

Only enable features in a private, secure environment and never install Suite from unofficial sources.

How it works (technical, high level)

When you initiate a bridge or swap, Trézór™ Suite selects a provider or route and requests a prepared transaction. The provider may return a transaction payload, contract call, or cross‑chain message. The Suite forwards the payload to your Trezor device for on‑device signature. After you verify and sign, the signed payload returns to the provider or Suite which broadcasts it to the appropriate chain(s).

  • Signing on-device: Private keys never leave your Trezor device.
  • Provider role: Providers handle liquidity routing, message relaying, and cross‑chain settlement mechanisms.
  • Non‑custodial flow: The bridge coordinates but does not custody funds — you remain in control.

Performing a swap or bridge transfer

  1. Open the Bridge section: In Suite, go to Bridge or Swap.
  2. Select source & destination: Choose the sending account (coin and address) and the receiving chain/account.
  3. Compare provider routes: Suite will show trusted providers and routes with estimated fees and times. Compare slippage and final amounts.
  4. Confirm details: Double‑check amounts, fees, and receiving address in Suite.
  5. Verify on-device: Your Trezor will display transaction details; confirm the address and amount on the device before signing.
  6. Monitor progress: Suite displays transaction status. Cross‑chain operations may take longer due to confirmations on multiple networks.

Always start with a small test transfer to validate the provider and route.

Security best practices

  • Verify everything on-device: Confirm addresses, amounts, and contract actions on your Trezor display before approving.
  • Use vetted providers: Only use providers shown in Suite. Avoid external links promising lower fees or faster routes unless they are listed in Suite.
  • Limit token approvals: Approve minimal allowances instead of unlimited approvals where possible.
  • Keep firmware & Suite up to date: Install updates promptly to receive security patches and provider list updates.
  • Protect your recovery seed and passphrase: Store recovery material offline and separately; never share it with anyone.

Troubleshooting & common issues

  • Transaction fails or reverts: This can happen due to network gas, provider issues, or insufficient liquidity. Try another provider or increase slippage only if you understand the implications.
  • Provider unavailable: Regional restrictions or outages may limit providers. Check Suite notifications and provider status pages.
  • Address mismatch: If the address on your Trezor differs from the Suite UI, do not sign. This may indicate UI manipulation or a compromised environment.
  • Stuck cross‑chain transfer: Contact the provider listed in the transaction details for assistance; Suite will provide tracking and transaction IDs.

FAQ

Is Trézór Bridge® custodial?
No. The bridge facilitates signed transactions and routing; private keys remain on your device.
Can I reverse a signed transaction?
No — signed blockchain transactions are final once broadcast. Some networks permit replacement transactions prior to confirmation, but this is limited and technical.
How are fees calculated?
Fees typically include on‑chain gas plus provider fees. Suite shows estimated fees and final amounts before you sign.
